Job Description: Real Estate Development Specialist
Position Overview:
The Real Estate Development Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of real estate development projects. This role involves analyzing market trends, conducting feasibility studies, identifying potential investment opportunities, and overseeing the execution of development projects. The Real Estate Development Specialist works closely with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and government authorities, to ensure successful project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential real estate development opportunities.
2. Prepare and present feasibility studies, including financial models, to evaluate the viability of proposed projects.
3. Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop project designs, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
4. Coordinate and manage the planning, design, and construction phases of development projects.
5. Oversee the acquisition and negotiation of contracts and agreements, including land purchases, leasing, and partnerships.
6. Evaluate and select contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure high-quality work within budgetary constraints.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, including government authorities, community organizations, and investors.
8. Monitor project progress, identify and resolve any issues or delays, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
9. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
10. Prepare and present reports and updates on project status, including financial performance, to senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Proven experience (X years) in real estate development, preferably within the property management or real estate industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of real estate development principles, practices, and regulations.
4. Strong financial acumen with the ability to conduct detailed financial analysis and create accurate financial models.
5. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
6. Outstanding negotiation and contract management abilities.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
8. Proficiency in using industry-specific software and tools, including project management software, financial analysis software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Attention to detail and meticulous approach to work.
10. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and solve problems proactively.
